HOME Program Asset Management Group Training Scheduled for May 27, 2010 PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 26 April 2010 13:17

Many St. Louis area community development corporations (CDCs) have a portfolio of HOME rental properties. It is thus increasingly important that these properties are well managed and operated in compliance with the HOME rules.

This course will focus on how to evaluate and enhance the long-term value of your HOME Program units through asset management. The course will include in-depth discussions on issues such as analysis of rental portfolio management and intervention strategies for troubled projects. Participants will learn how to spot “early warning signals” in troubled projects, and oversee rental projects to ensure that these projects continue to meet HOME requirements and provide an affordable housing resource over the long term.

Who Should Attend: Representatives from Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), and potential CHDOs as well as community development professionals interested in the HOME Program.

Date: Thursday, May 27, 2010

Time: 9 a.m. – Noon

Location: Harris Stowe State University Southwestern Bell Library – Seminar Room

RHCDA is Regional Housing and Community Development Alliance, a nonprofit organization that creates and supports the alliances that make smart, sustainable neighborhood revitalization possible in the St. Louis region.

"It is safe to say that RHCDA has helped save several St. Louis neighborhoods by taking on financially troubled housing, developed and previously managed by others.  RHCDA has really made a difference to the city and to investors who are interested in helping to preserve and develop housing in the city."
