Affordable For-Sale Housing Development Finance Group Training Scheduled for September 30th - October 2nd

August 20, 2008

RHCDA will be offering a 12-hour group training program on Affordable For-Sale Housing Development Finance at Harris Stowe State University next month. The group training will be held in 4-hour modules, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., over the course of three days, September 30th, October 1st, and October 2nd. Attendance for all three days will be important to have a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of affordable for-sale housing development. The program will be available to community-based development organizations in the St. Louis/Eastern Missouri region.

The course will examine the skills required to succeed in developing single-family housing that is affordable for low and moderate-income families. In addition, the class will look into current housing market conditions, such as declining housing values and increased foreclosures, and their impact on neighborhoods and communities in the St. Louis region. Topics will include:

Home Ownership Development Overview
Home Ownership Development Process
Financing and Deal Structuring
Permanent Mortgage Programs

If you have any questions, or if you would like to register for the group training, please contact Brian Hurd, RHCDA Technical Assistance Project Manager, at (314) 333-7012 or brian@rhcda.com
