Historic Preservation Consulting

RHCDA offers a full suite of in-house services ranging from a project's initial cultural resource research and review to the essential historic preservation consultation associated with State and Federal Tax Credits and architectural compliance required for final project approvals.

Professional Qualifications

RHCDA has a staff "36CFR61" certified Architectural Historian/Historian available to consult on or complete any level of historic compliance documentation, whether a client wishes to conduct general historic research on a property or an area, to place a property on a local historic register or on the National Register of Historic Places, or if an owner needs to comply with State and Federal regulations regarding the rehabilitation of or removal of historic or cultural resources.

Historic preservation projects often require a high level of documentation in historic background research and reporting, architectural description, site mapping, and archival documentary photography, in addition to negotiation with Local, State and Federal agencies to provide efficient solutions that will work for a variety of different types of redevelopment projects, especially concerning the retention of extant buildings in older neighborhoods.

RHCDA provides all the necessary services to ensure that historic preservation project documentation packages meet the requirements of the National Park Service, the State Historic Preservation Office and certified local government reviews.
